Disabled People

Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council aim to help disabled people to live as independently as possible. A number of quality services are available for adults and children with varying degrees of physical, mental and learning disabilities.

Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council and Local Health Board have been working together to develop a joint strategy for disabled people and those with a sensory loss’ health, housing and social services.   The strategy will be concerned particularly, but not exclusively, with services for physically disabled people and those with a sensory impairment, who have been assessed as meeting moderate, substantial or critical need via the Community Care Eligibility Framework. And who are of working age that is 18 to 64 years of age.

The draft strategy is now ready for consultation the consultation will take place until 7th September 2009 and we would welcome your views.

Below, you will find copies of the project brief, briefing paper 2, the draft strategy and a feedback questionnaire.
