Disabled People
Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council aim to help disabled
people to live as independently as possible. A number of quality
services are available for adults and children with varying degrees
of physical, mental and learning disabilities.
Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council and Local Health Board
have been working together to develop a joint strategy for
disabled people and those with a sensory loss’ health, housing and
social services. The strategy will be concerned
particularly, but not exclusively, with services for physically
disabled people and those with a sensory impairment, who have been
assessed as meeting moderate, substantial or critical need via the
Community Care Eligibility Framework. And who are of working age
that is 18 to 64 years of age.
The draft strategy is now ready for consultation the
consultation will take place until 7th September 2009 and we would
welcome your views.
Below, you will find copies of the project brief, briefing
