Cefn Coed Colliery Museum

Cefn Coed Colliery MuseumA magnificent steam winding engine, now electrically driven, a simulated gallery and a fascinating display of mining tools and equipment are the highlights of this museum housed in the original buildings of the former Cefn Coed Colliery.

You can also buy a real miner's lamp or other souvenirs at a well-stocked gift shop.

Cefn Coed Colliery MuseumNorthbound: approximately 3 miles north of Neath on the A4109. Take A4109 from Aberdulais to Crynant.

Southbound: best access via A465, 3 miles south of Resolven at Aberdulais take A4109 north to Crynant. The Museum is 3 miles along the road towards Crynant.

Bus: 158 (First Cymru) from Swansea/Neath.

Accessibility: Most of the site is accessible to disabled visitors. Disabled toilets on site and Guide Dogs welcome. Free Parking available.
