Aberafan Seafront

Families need look no further for things to do on one of Wales’ longest sandy beaches, which also boasts an aquasplash playground, safe cycling along the promenade and grassed open areas providing hours of family fun.

Aberavon beach hosts a number of large scale and prestigious events such as the Welsh and 4 Nations Life Saving Championships and a popular beach festival.

Location: From M4 or A48 at Port Talbot, take the B4286 and follow signs for Aberavon Beach.

Aquadome at the Afan Lido

An exciting leisure theme pool at Aberavon Seafront, Port Talbot, providing something for everyone, both young and old.

Family friendly river rides and wave machines make the Aquadome a must in any weather.

The theme pool includes a giant spaceship which dominates the pool hall, Inca temple, lily pond, bubble loungers, river rides, wave machine, space whirl, towering falls and bars and restaurants.

Access: The Afan Lido is accessible for all, apart from the spectator gallery which is not accessible to wheelchair users.
